Non-Profit Work
In 2020, my new years resolution was to give back to the animal rescue community.
I had adopted a pit bull during fall of 2018 and quickly fell in love with the breed. My dog, Milo, had made such a positive impact on my life. A little over a year later, I felt an urgency to give back to his type of loving, misunderstood, blocky-head dogs in need.
January 2020, I signed up to volunteer at a local, breed specific rescue in Dallas, The Love Pit. I joined the transportion team and helped by taking foster dogs to vet appointments. By March 2020, I had joined a second rescue, Buddha & The Bull, to help with social media, transportation & events.

Two years later, I wanted a change that would allow me to spend more time hands on with dogs in need, and signed up to be a volunteer at Dallas Animal Services. DAS is the fourth largest animal intake center in the nation and is home to a team dedicated to making sure animals find their forever home. This municipal animal shelter provides care to 20-40,000 animals per year.
• Awarded for volunteering 200+ hours in 2022.
• Featured Nominee on NBC5’s Positively Good Awards, Sept 2022.
• Photography & marketing for long stay pets.
• Foster for medical cases and overlooked pets (15 dogs to date!).
• Event lead for monthly adoption events.
• Canine handling lead trainer.
• Adoption counselor.

Social Media Manager
FODAS is the 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation which serves as the primary fundraising partner for Dallas Animal Services (DAS), providing financial support to directly benefit DAS' programs and services that further its vision of ensuring compassionate care of shelter animals and finding positive outcomes for all placeable pets.
• Plan social media calendar.
• Collaborate on marketing campaigns and create social media graphics.
• Manage social media channels.
• Collect content and create media for storytelling.
• Write copy for social posts.
